can't install Garmin Express

when trying to install the garmin express software i encounter this error
i updated all the windows updates i could, i am the admin of the pc, ran a net framework repair file, and still getting the same error.
tried contacting the support, but i keep recieving the same automated response regarding this issue.
hoping for some solution, thanks in advance!

Try installing it as administrator. That has worked for others.

Contact Garmin support (I called the USA number) they will escalate you to a team that can grab your screen and try and solve the problem. After an hour they gave up and I cannot install express on my (new Lenovo yoga) PC. it may work for you. I have now resolved to only use garmin connect mobile (and when new firmware comes along can use any other PC, with express, just for that)

I solved my problem by downloading an older version of Express from here

We do not currently have any official old versions of Express for Windows. That being said, the issue you are seeing can be caused by quite a few different things. If running as Admin didn't correct your problem please contact support by phone.

Garmin express won't install

Garmin express stopped working yesterday. I tried opening it, but when I tried to open it, it did nothing. I tried to uninstall it (in order to reinstall it) and I couldn't even uninstall it. I finally found a way to uninstall it, but now I can't install it. When i try to run the installer it just disappears. Any thoughts? Thanks

Troubleshooting this kind of installation issue can get complicated and I recommend that you contact Product Support by phone for assistance with this.

Same problem here. I tried to manually start up the service application under your installation folder with the one mentioned during installation.

The error announced cannot load "iolegacy.dll". I searched the solution on internet, it says caused by .NET assembly configuration error, some of the DLLs build with "X86" options and the other with "ANY CPU" so the mismatch occurred when an "X86" DLLs tried to load "ANY CPU" DLLs.

So I believe Garmin team need to roll back and check the configurations for that.

PS:
My Garmin Vector Updater cannot be executed by similar problem. The latest version occurred the error but some old version like 2.4 works fine.

So the same of Express. Old version works fine.

And strangely, my same machine with same operation system could do that successfully. So really strange.
