Garmin Express - FR620 syncing still does not work

As the sticky says, the automatic sync should start when a device is connected, so there is no need for manual sync button.
So...

I was using version3 of express until now because of earlier version4 sync issues. But v3 wen haywire so i decided to give it a try and updated. This is what happens:

If Express is open when I connect the FR620 - the status stays "Not connected", even though I can see the PC recognizing the device.
If I close and re-open Express then it says "Connected", but sync does not start. (Never. Ever.)
If Express runs in the background (tray icon) than nothing happens.

Please fix it (by adding a manual sync button, or forcing sync on application open, I don't care), otherwise I'll just have to revert back to the old version and when I get bored of the problems I might switch to an Ambit. :mad:(even though I really like the FR620)

    I checked your account and it appears that there was a successful sync of the Forerunner 620 today, about a half hour after this post was made. Garmin Express is designed to sync when running in the background, but Garmin Express will not open. So if you have Garmin Express running in the background and connect your Forerunner 620, the application does not auto-launch, for fitness devices. This is by design.

    Typically, when issues like this arise, using the troubleshooting in our FAQ What should I do if I am unable to sync my mass storage fitness device using Garmin Express? resolves it.

    If the sync issues persist, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.

  • Dear Lisa,

    The sync was through my phone over BT, as I could not make Garmin express work on my PC.
    I think I need to have the local retailer take a look at it and se if there is any problem with the device itself...
