Garmin 3597 Troubles, please help

Hello I have been having non stop trouble with my Garmin 3597, it wouldn't connect to my computer and kept saying Unknown Device, also on my laptop. I managed to get it to update software, as it worked for a few minutes but after that it won't do anything now. It says the charger is incompatible even though its the official garmin charger that came with it. I have tried putting it into Mass Storage mode and updated all its drivers, and plug-ins etc. Any help will be appreciated.

Hey, sorry the links don't work. No not at all, not to the laptop either. I tried a master reset.
Not sure why the links aren't working.

That should get you to the second link (top of the google search), the first is just how to master reset your device. When you say you tried a master reset, did that enable you to connect to your PC?

Hey. no it connected to the pc before the master reset, for some reason master reset doesnt work now after the update. I tried what the 2nd link said and that didn't work, what a pain :(

Just to be clear ... When you plug your 3597 into the computer, you are plugging the USB directly into the 3597 and not into the cradle ... right?

Also, you might try switching your 3597 from MTP mode to mass storage mode.

Hello, yes straight into the 3597, don't have a cradle. Tried using mass storage mode too, no joy. :(

It won't connect to your PC?

You've tried mass storage mode?

You've tried a master reset?
