British Voice for nuvi 65 and Locked Map on unit

Two questions.

1. How does one get a British voice on the nuvi 65? Garmin Express offers 5 execrable voices: Dr. Nightmare, Elfred, Squirrely, Team Garmin's Dave Z..., Yeti. I would pay money not to have any one them. I read about Jill, Serena, Samantha, .... but where are they?

I even tried to use Garmin Express to get all the English voices via

Tools -> Optional Updates -> Language Files

but, nothing new turned up. OTOH, my unit has Chinese, Korean, etc. Can I just delete
these .vpm files from the unit?

2. I have a West Europe map on a SD card. My first nuvi 65 had to be returned (for a
problem that did not exist, but that is a VERY long story). Garmin sent a new one. When
I installed the SD card on that, it says it "cannot unlock maps". The US map comes
up fine, but the W. European one does not.

Strangely, it does come up in Basecamp! In Basecamp I can get all the street detail
on the W. European map on the SD card.

I assume that this may be because of the change in the units. Perhaps the WE map
is tied to my old unit and I have "re-register"?

Could anyone help out on either or both of the questions?

Thanks in advance.

I am sorry for the troubles. The Europe maps will have to be downloaded again for the new device. I have added the Europe map to your myGarmin account for you to download. If you have issues downloading the Europe maps to the SD card please see the FAQ: What should I do when having issues downloading Downloadable Content?

In regards to the Voices I verified that 3 British options will install with the English files from Express Tools / Optional / Language files.

    British English Daniel
    British English
    British English Serena

You can remove the unwanted vpm files from the Voices folder but it is not necessary.

If you continue to have trouble I suggest you contact us by phone.
