Issue transferring courses

Hi,
I have a course on Garmin Connect that I wish to send to me Touring Plus, but I just get "there was an error syncing with Garmin Connect" everytime.

I also have 2 Garmin GPX course which I wish to add, but every time I try to add them to Connect I get "undefined"

This has got to be one of the most frustrating systems I've ever used!

I am sorry for the troubles. Currently there is an issue with sending any Course created from a .GPX file in Connect to a device. Please delete any Course items from your sync menu in Connect. You can create the Course manually in the Course menu then send it to the device. The Garmin Connect team are aware of this issue and working on a solution.

Again, I am sorry for the troubles.

So when will there be a solution? I have 5 days worth of courses for a trip to France next week + cannot put them on my VERY recently purchased Garmin. So far this device appears to be supported by poor software + numerous bugs. Please advise if I will able to load these routes before next Monday. If not, I have wasted my money purchasing what I believed to be a market-leading device.

I am sorry for the troubles. If your issue has been going on for that long it is probably more involved then just Courses not transferring. Please use the suggestions in the FAQ below:

What can I try when my ANT Fitness device will not sync with Garmin Express?

If you continue to have troubles please contact Garmin Product Support by phone.

You can still create courses manually in the Courses menu then send them to the Edge. It is only Courses created from an imported .GPX file that will not transfer. I do not have a ETA on the resolution from the Connect Team for that issue.

Sorry, but manually creating 5 days worth of courses? Do Garmin think that is acceptable? I have the courses but am expected to waste time manually copying them? Hardly quality service, especially with no ETA of a fix.

I've had the same problem trying to sync courses to my 310XT - it worked for 10 months and now doesn't no matter what type of course I try.

I contacted Garmin support who have been worse than useless and accomplished absolutely nothing - I keep checking the internet to see if someone who actually cares can come up with a solution but it seems there isn't one!

It's got to the point now that I think I need to get myself a new watch from another provider - Garmin must be losing customers all over the place because their otherwise great watches are supported (or rather not) by appalling software!

That is a javascript handling error which can be caused by an out of date web browser, Internet Security, or additional add-ons and extensions that disabled javascript in web pages. You can search for the title of the article at Garmin Support Search FAQ's webpage : https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/search.htm

Curt, it is just another example of Garmin not supporting the worlds most popular web browser. The link above fails in Chrome, works fine in IE11.
