I just installed Express from the Garmin website on my Windows-based computer. I have tried updating the software and maps on my Nuvi 44 and Nuvi 1300. I get the same error message during the install on both units. "There was an error installing the update". Please help.
I am sorry for the troubles. The issue is that the new map versions are failing to activate during the map update. Both of your devices look good in the database so it might be a communication issue.
