Problem installing 2016.10 Europe on Nuvi 3598 LMT-D

I have a 3598 LMT-D and Garmin Express keeps telling me that there isn't enough room to install 2016.10 completely.
There is about 1.2GB free on the device itself and it makes no difference if there is a 8GB or 16GB MicroSD card in the device, it keeps telling me there isn't enough room.
Please fix this Garmin.

Well first try the following. Ensure Express is up to date. Remove the SD card from your nuvi then delete it from Express and re-add it. Now try the map update and only insert the SD card when prompted by Express. Before you do ensure the card is formatted FAT32.
