Sync problem with gamin conect

Hi, Since 3 day I cannot sync any information from my 910XT to Garmin connect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and spent hours going through the Forum looking for the solution... ( without luck.
Garmin Express say that all is synced but not showing in Garmin connect. I had one run that was with the date 4 days ahead (deleted now) but all other info seem OK on the watch. Also do not find the file on any computer I have tested this on where the data is stored before upload as suggested for manual upload.

I hope someone can advise and fix this and it is not the case that Garmin have altered the software so that the old watch do not work anymore with Garmin Connect, like not being able to upload goals any more. I have just bought the Edge 1000 so no cash for a new watch as well.

  • How did you get a run dated 4 days ahead? That has to be connected to your issue. Make sure all your devices including your computer and web connect are setup to the correct time and time zone. If you're trying to sync and the time is not correct somewhere in the chain, it won't work.
  • Hi Phil, I deleted that one directly yes, also there was my swim from Friday that dispersed on my first try at syncing. And now have tried on 3 different laptops Win7 and Win8.1. All have the correct time zone. not sure if there was a firm where update at the same time?? Really NOT HAPPY about this. :confused:

    I would suggest contacting support to see why the device is creating activities in the future.

    I have had a problem recently trying to sync the last two activities from my 910XT. I ended up creating another Garmin Connect account on another PC and the last two activities have now appeared in the new account. However, when I try to export from the new Garmin Connect account and import to my usual account I receive the error message "has already been uploaded".

    This is not the first time that my 910XT has failed to sync. Also my on/off button is beginning to fail and the unit is less than two years old. I have been offered a replacement at a reasonable price but I do expect more from what was the flagship Forerunner at a cost of several hundred pounds. I'm now beginning to wonder whether I should look at alternatives to the Garmin range....
  • If it has already been uploaded, it means that the file should be there. Might be on a different date however if something messed up during the sync, or if the device placed a bad date on it like you mentioned previously.

    I am sorry for the troubles. You will continue to have missing activity issues if you create a new account each time you have sync issues. You have three separate accounts, all with a substantial amount of activities in them. If you are missing activities in one account you can use the Change Account button in Express to change the account that the 910XT syncs with. In Garmin Express select the Forerunner 910XT then click on Tools. Click the Change Account button and enter the credentials for the account you want to upload to. You should actually Sign Out of any Garmin web pages that are open in a web browser then close all web browsers before this. To resend all the activities from the 910XT to the Connect account see the FAQ: How can I resend my history from my wireless ANT+ watch to my computer? Only the missing activities will be added to Connect but the sync will take longer than normal. I suggest you contact Garmin Support and have them consolidate your accounts when you have time.
