Garmin Express = Oxymoron

Why does a 3 hour update for Europe actually take 14 hours?
Why when I narrow it down to Central Europe does it then take 4 hours?
None of these times are "Express". 30 minutes is the high end for a software called express.
I have read through the forums and have not seen any remedy to the problem except that moderator SUSSAMB says it works great for him. Well that's just great and it does nothing to help me or anyone else that I have seen complain about the issues with this software. I have never had anything that has taken this long to update.

The Express client writes a file to you computer to evaluate your download speed. If your speed fluctuates or your provider throttles your connection then you will see additional time for your download to complete. When you changed regions the client likely had already downloaded some of the files that make up the Central Europe region from your original attempt.
