Garmin 610 won't transfer

Garmin 610 indicates data transfer after an activity but nothing shows up in Garmin Connect, and it says there if nothing to snyc. I've been through the troubleshooting, deleted device, transfer and pairing on, checked for upgrades, did a master reset on the 610. The 610 appears to be working fine, just can't get the transfer to go through...last time was in February! (I've been injured so haven't run that much so it hasn't been that much of an issue for me)
Thanks,
Steve
  • I am sorry for the troubles. If you are having issues with activities not showing up in Connect after a successful sync in Express, make sure Garmin Express is up to date then please use the FAQ and instructions below to locate any files that have not uploaded to Connect and try to manually upload them.

Where do my activities go on the computer before they are uploaded to Garmin Connect?

All files in this location from a 310XT, 610XT, or 910XT should be .FIT files and have the .FIT extension. Add the .FIT extension if needed. Move the files to the Desktop or another folder then manually uploaded to Connect. If Connect refuses to import the file then it is corrupt and can be deleted. Deleting the device from Express does not delete the files in this folder so unless Garmin Express was completely uninstalled and reinstalled these files remain in the folder and can cause sync issues.

To manually upload activities to Garmin Connect:

    • Sign into Garmin Connect
    • Click sidebar menu (three lines icon)
    • Click Activities
    • Click Import
    • Click Choose file

Please let us know if you have any success or contact Garmin Product Support by phone.

There are no activities or files in Connect or ProgramData so I guess I'll have to call to find out what's going on. That won't be until Friday. Thnks.

I am having the same problem. I did the Cotswolds Way this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I ran with my Garmin 610 and a Fitbit Surge, as I knew the GPS wouldn't last long enough on Saturday when I was doing 42 miles or Sunday when doing 35. Friday was fine as that was just 26 miles. On both Saturday and Sunday the battery went dead on the Garmin and I switched to the Fitbit. I now can't get the any data off the Garmin 610. I have tried unpair and pair, I have downloaded all software updates without any luck. The Fitbit is fine as that uses Bluetooth. I really don't want to lose all the data as I doubt I will do the 103 miles again

You sure don't want to lose that data. That's quite an accomplishment...gotta love "just 26" on Friday! I've just been doing recovery runs lately, including a 1/2 marathon jog, which didn't help the recovery, but nothing worth recording. Very frustrating that it won't though. I'm calling tech support now and will post if they can solve the issue.

UPDATE: before calling I did a master reset on the 610 and then downloaded and installed the ANT software again. It appears to be working. You might not want to try doing it that way as I lost all the data on the 610. You'd hate to lose your runs. Maybe try just reloading ANT software and see if that helps.
