Items missing from tray after installing GE

Only my 2nd post here so this could have been discussed before. Just bought Nuvi 2797 and wanted to do updates to loaded GE. After doing all the updates I noticed my MS Security Essentials was missing from the task bar tray. I had to uninstall GE before I could get it to come back. Is there some config change required to have both GE and
Security Essentials in the tray or am I just having a bad hair day.

I'm on Win7 and haven't seen that issue, maybe you are having a bad hair day :)

Forgot to list my PC OS, it's Win7.

Express should not be conflicting with security essentials in the tray. When you reinstalled everything, did it happen again?

Tried again with same results. After seeing your question, here are the steps I did.

1. Made a list of all the items listed in the tray, MSE was the first item listed, then Volume.

2. I downloaded the installer again in case there was a problem the first time I downloaded it.

3. Installed GE and connected my device to verify GE was working.
- Downloaded a new Vehicle to test GE

4. Hadn't booted yet after installing GE, MSE was in the tray

5. Closed all my applications and restarted

6. When PC came back up, MSE was missing again.

Is MSE uninstalled, or just not in the tray? Can you launch it and have it run and appear in the try again?

It was just not in the tray. When I launched it before it didn't reappear in the tray but just did as you asked, launched it and it
is now in the tray. Guess we will call this fixed. Don't know why that didn't happen the last time I tried to launch it.

All works as it should, thanks for the help.
