I have the Nuvi 2958HD GPS and I use the Garmin garage but can't install other voices like British accent etc, so I went online and typed in Garmin voice Australian. I downloaded it from the Garmin website. When I went to install it, it game up with a port and band drop down or a usb drop down but it could not find my GPS. The weird thing is that my GPS is plugged in and it shows it connected in the Garmin garage. How can it be connected and and charging showing garmin express yet when I go to install the voice. The actual file was Australian (Karen) TTP. Can someone help? I am tired of the same old english lady talking. The garmin garage only shows different voices like halloween etc...
In Garmin Express, you install all available English voices as a group. Select your device, then "Tools". It is under Optional Updates, Language Files. Select English, and you will get the voices available for your device.
