Can't re-add a new device

After Garmin Express kept giving me an error that said something like "No information for this kind of error," I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it. It reinstalled fine, but now when I go to add my Fenix, it takes forever to find it, then when it does and identifies it, it asks if I want to "Add Device," which of course, I do. But clicking the button does nothing. It just sits at that Add Device screen.

Express worked fine up until about a week or two ago. Anyone else have this problem?

    What version of Garmin Express are you using? Version 4.0.20 was released today. If you are not running that version, please update it.

    If you are still unable to add the device, see if you still have some files left over from the previous installation. The ProgramData folder is hidden so try this:

    • Press the Windows Key + R key together
    • In the Run box, enter C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService
    • Hit Enter


    Check to see if you still have these files: device_data_store.xml, devices_list.xml, 9 digit number.xml. If so, delete these files and try to add the device to Garmin Express again. If the Add Device button is still unresponsive, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.
