Garmin Connect windows client does not recognize memory

Hy all:
as the title of the post, seems a common problem. I just got a new Garmin Edge Touring Plus. It comes with a micro sd memory sandisk of 8 GB.
At the begining when I start the garmin and after:
- connect the device to the computer and
- after install the Garmin Connect client for Windows (I have windows 7 btw)
the germin connect client software tell me that there are some updates to install and be sure to have a memory with at least 8Gb.

When the update process begins, it says that does not find any memory. But the funny thing is that from the Windows explorer I see the memory and I can navigate inside this.

Seems like is not a windows problem? How can i resolve the problem? I have seen in internet some tricks like connect the device to the computer without the memory and after that connect the memory, etc etc, but does not work the simple tricks in my case.
