Garmin Express is the absolute worst piece of software I have ever tried to use

I run bike or swim almost every day. It is rare that I don't have to restart the app or reboot my computer to get it to work. I have both a 310XT and a Edge 800 and it doesn't work reliably with either one. This piece of junk is seriously making me think about upgrading any of my Garmin products or getting new ones such as Vector 2.

Tonight I have been fighting with it for over an hour. It synced the 800 tonight but it won't sync the 310XT. It tried once and failed but now it won't even try to sync. WHOEVER DESIGNED THIS SHOULD BE FIRED!

  • I've posted the details elsewhere (I have a 910XT) but done every fix that has been suggested - finally I found a plug-in for Sporttracks that could see the activity download it and then I managed to export it back to Garmin Connect (I'm a sad bunny that uses both programs). Garmin are in denial and keep telling is the files are probably corrupted which, if true, probably means that Express is to blame. Don't have a problem if the software is faulty but I'd rather they owned up and went and fixed it. These forums are littered with dozens of unhappy customers many going elsewhere - that probably means that there are many more out there. When will Garmin own up and fix the problem?
  • Well it isn't that the files are corrupted. I have not had any corrupted files and have got all my files to upload after a day of off and on trying. Sometimes, rebooting or restarting GE, or just waiting. I think once it took overnight and did upload after I thought it was corrupted.
