Guess what another unhappy user - not uploading to Gamin Connect (810 & 910XT)

It would appear nothing had uploaded since garmin express 4.0.15, not sure when it was released but nothing has updated since 8th April.
Windows 8.1

Joy of the new system you don't click sync means you also don't check it actually synced.

Presently 810 states its sync'd via garmin express but nothing uploaded. 910XT sometimes syncs sometimes fails (not that the failures give you any reason or log locations as previous version once did)

The update Garmin express Update option also failed twice again no details as to why. so i downloaded and upgraged to 4.0.17 and
the same issues, states its synced but nothing uploaded. under settings for each device the account is set up correctly. note i see alot less settings in the past when my 910xt would not synce new activites i could go to settings and transfer all, that resolved it this function seems nolonger to be applicable.

Note my FR60 has never synced since Garmin Express was introduced (previous mentioned on here). Luckily I have a old win 7 desktop with garmin connect addin that I use to upload this on.

Few things regarding the choice to remove the sync button.
If it fails how do you resync
If you connect multiple devices how do you know what to sync - now you have to connect a device wait then connect the next etc. not that anything is actually uploading for me

ll I really want is a link to old versions of Garmin Express which worked so i can install and stop auto updates.
  • I've posted the details elsewhere but done everything that has been suggested - finally I found a plug-in for Sporttracks that could see the activity download it and then I managed to export it back to Garmin Connect (I'm a sad bunny that uses both programs). Garmin are in denial and keep telling me the file is corrupted which, if true, probably means that Express is to blame. When will they own up and fix the problem?
  • STEVIEMIDNIGHT,
If you would like assistance with the issues you have listed I would recommend calling our support team.

  • If you look at the first 20 posts most of them are all about syncing issues. What is it going to take for Garmin to admit that the GE 4.x needs a major rework and is causing all these issues.

I agree with you this problem with Garmin Express has gone on way to long.
I have stopped using Garmin Express.
Blocked and updates to it and have reinstalled GarminExpress 3.2.29.0.
The only thing that has worked for me and my vivofit is the Android App.
I have even blocked any update to the vivofit and the app being updated.
It works every since I got my vivofit in November of 2014.

I do not trust anything Garmin is telling users anymore.

What would be great if Garmin were to open up the source code.
Make it public, there are a lot of great programers out there who would make a better version of Garmin Express.

Make it open source Garmin and we can finally get a stable working Garmin Express software once and for all.....

Garmin and Garmin express is garbage! My 910 XT has never paired properly...with Garmin. The ant stick works, I have tried the various fixes...they don't. Garmin is, as you say, in denial. In the past i have sent over 100 notices to them via a pop-up when syncing has failed, often with my email address...never, ever even a response. One would think that a company with these resources would fix things!

The problems preceded Garmin Express (which I just reinstalled hoping it was fixed...not!
Next device will NOT be a Garmin!
