Garmin FR610 not compatible with Garmin Express???

I just bought a refurbished Forerunner 610 and tried to connect it via Garmin Express (latest version). Express showed that it found the watch not displaying the serial. Moreover the prog says that the item is not supported by Garmin Express and advised me to use Garmin Map Updater instead. Any help?

The serial of the watch is 2T0028020...

Very strange. It should work fine with Garmin Express, my 610 does.

Have you verified you're on the latest version of GE?

Sure, it's the latest version of GE; I guess it has somthing to do with the fact that it's a refurbished device. I had a similar strange behaviour with a 305 a year ago...
