Australian Garmin Nuvi 50 GPS Map - Has free lifetime map updates been cancelled?

The 2013.30 Navteq map for Australia released in 2012 for my Garmin Nuvi 50 GPS is so old it's dangerous. It suggests I turn the wrong way into one-way streets, has incorrect speed limits and many new streets and roads are simply missing.

I bought the Nuvi 50 with free Lifetime map updates, yet there have been no new maps for more than 2 years.

Garmin's terms and conditions say if a map hasn't been updated for more than tow years, the free Lifetime map updates no longer apply.

Surely there must be a more recent map!!!

When I update my Garmin Nuvi 50 GPS via Garmin Express it says I have the most recent map for Australia, 2013.3.

Please help me get a map for Australia that is for 2015 for my Nuvi 50.

P.S. I only bought the Garmin Nuvi 50 because of the free lifetime map update offer.

No where on your nuvi 50 UnitID:3850553574, Part Number:010-00991-25, Model Number:nüvi® 50, Australia and New Zealand (NAVTEQ), does it mention including Lifetime Map Updates. Your nuvi comes with the standard nuMaps Onetime Map Guarantee. This was claimed back on October 12, 2012 when you updated and unlocked City Navigator Australia & New Zealand NT 2013.30-Navteq - Map+LA, Sept 12 maps. The Lifetime Map purchase is no where on your myGarmin account or associated with the GPS device. You will have to contact Garmin Australia if you have proof of purchase for the Lifetime Map Update and present it to them. I have made available the Onetime City Navigator Australia and New Zealand - HERE NT 2045.40 map update to your Nuvi 50 as a courtesy, but any further map updates will need to be purchase by you. Please download, install, then add the Nuvi to Garmin Express in order to accept the 2015.40 map update.
How do I install Garmin Express on the computer?

The Free Lifetime Map Upgrade offer was a redemption offer promoted at point-of-sale.

Buyers in Australia has to provide proof of purchase in order to then receive the Free Lifetime maps upgrade.

I attempted to resolve this lack of map updates via email to [email][email protected][/email] yet never received a reply, hence my raising this here.

I have attached the PDF "official record" from Garmin that confirmed the Free Lifetime Maps offer (see image).

I also received a second PDF with detailed instructions about updating my maps for the Lifetime of my Nuvi 50 which I can email to you if required.

Therefore please update your database of registered users so I will be able to update my Nuvi 50 in the future via Garmin Express.

I am sorry for the troubles. I can see the entire history of the Nuvi, unfortunately a Lifetime Map update subscription has not been activated to it. Since the code was understandably redacted, I cannot verify if or when it was used but it has not been assigned to or activated to the Nuvi. Please use the link below to try and activate the code again.

If you continue to have troubles I suggest you contact Garmin Australia as I am unable to simply add the Lifetime Updates Subscription to the Nuvi. The materials you provided are regional to Australia. I am in the US and unfamiliar with any of the specials Garmin Australia runs or their marketing materials.
