Downloading problem

Hi, please can anyone help with downloading garmin express, I'm not technically minded but I know I've done all I should for it to download but I'm still getting message that say I should make sure I have administration privileges (I do) I am beginning to wish I'd bought another device.
  • How are you trying to download it? Are you selecting Run or saving the file to your PC? If the former try saving the file to your PC then right click it and choose Run as administrator.

    Hi Sussamb, I have already done this. I've searched the web and tried everything that people have said, different browsers, etc. it seems this has been an on going problem just wish I had known before we bought this one.
  • Well it's true that a few folks have issues but mostly Express installs without any problem. It's likely to be something peculiar to your set up. One of the Express team should be along shortly to offer more advice.

    Have you tried all the troubleshooting in our FAQ Why do I receive a "Failed. Try again?" error message when installing Garmin Express on a PC?

    Another cause of privileges issues can be related to the Microsoft .NET Framework installed on the computer. Some additional troubleshooting for that is in our FAQ What should I do if I encounter a Microsoft .NET Framework error while installing or using a Garmin application?

    If you are still unable to install Garmin Express, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.
