Downloading Courses to 910XT

Hi All,

Apologies if this is a repeat - I've tried to find a recent post on this, but can't (not great with computers! :)).

I'm trying to download a course to my 910XT using Garmin Connect and Express (v3.00). Software states it is up to date. Item is on connect to download, but every time I sync, I get an error saying "Sorry, we can't sync your device, please try again". Uploading works fine. I'm using Chrome (Version 41.0.2272.101 m - current I think).

I've deleted my activity history - no help.

I've managed to download one course in the past, but can't recall what I had to do (think I might have uninstalled Express).

Any help on using express for downloading and overcoming this issue much appreciated.

Andy.

Update - I've realised there was a newer version of Garmin Express (4.0.13.0) so have installed that. Unfortunately, the same problem. New Error message - "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect".

    Uploading still working fine.

Another update - have been able to redownload the course that was previously on the watch. The "new" course I was trying to download was a gpx trace from a friend that I uploaded as an activity, then saved as a course.

When I downloaded the old course, the watch was "Receiving Data". When trying to download the new course, the watch only tries to "Transfer Data", then gives the error.

    Any help much appreciated.

I've managed to get it downloaded after another try. I opened and resaved the course (with a minor mod of taking off the check mark that said to stick to roads and clicking the one for km markers).

Hopefully a help if anyone else gets the same issue.
