Garming Express wont let me download newly purchased map!

Hello sirs.

I'm terribly sorry that I'm breaking every rule of proper forum etiquette. I'm leaving for Las Vegas from Copenhagen tomorrow the 27th at 09 am, which is in roughly 11 hours, of which I'd love to sleep 7 or 8, so excuse me for not searching the forums beforehand, but I'm in urgent need of help on this matter.

Anyhow on to my troubles. I've recently, 2 hours ago, bought a new map for my nüvi 3590LM, the nüMaps Onetime(TM) City Navigator(R) North America NT 2015.40. It's bought for the correct serial number of my nüvi.

Provided is a screenshot of my my.garmin.com maps section and also a screenshot of my Garmin Express as it looks for me.

Please help me! I'm very much in need of this map for my trip tomorrow! Damn me and my poor planning in updating the GPS.

nuMaps lifetime is an update not a map so unfortunately you've bought the wrong item. Normally a phone call to Garmin would sort this but I suspect you're out of time.

Your nuvi 3590LMT is pre-loaded with Europe maps. The item you purchased was an update for North America. Since your device was not pre-loaded with North America, the update will not work. You will need to purchase a map download for North America from this link:

You may need to change the country selection at the top of the window for your cart to complete the purchase as that URL is the US website.

Hm, I suspected this.. However this troubles me as the purchase site specifically says its NOT an map update but an map download. Ugh - I guess I'll have to buy the normal map and ask for a refund on the update - I hope they can understand me.

Okay, new question:

I bought the correct map, so now I'm just hopeful they'll understand my mispurchase and maybe refund me, but in any case - how do I remove the map on my nuvi to make room for my newly purchased USA map?

The map needs to be downloaded to a micro SD card if you don't have enough space on the internal storage/memory to hold it. When you try the download, if the website shows Insufficient Space, you will need the micro SD card. Here is our FAQ on how to download:
