Forerunner 10 won't sync

Hi,

I got my forerunner 10 back in January this year. Since i had it i have had trouble syncing the data, it would work in a USB port for a while and then it would stop syncing. I checked the USB port and other devices worked fine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling garmin express, I have also spoke with an advisor at Garmin who went through various options and in the end sent me out another data cable. Again this worked fine for a while and now it has stopped syncing again. I am gettiing really annoyed at not being able to sync my data and I am begining to think its my device. I am using windows 8. The data cable when connected charges the device and my computer recognises it as a e drive but with no data. When it does sync the computer recognises it as garmin forerunner 10 in my computer. Please help!!!

    I am sorry for the troubles. It sounds like you might be experiencing some hardware issues if the computer does not recognize the FR10 consistently when it is connected. The FR10 is a mass storage device so the computer should recognize it as a USB Mass Storage device every time it is connected. Please see the FAQ: Why doesn't my computer detect my device when it's in USB Mass Storage Mode?

    Make sure Garmin Express is up to date and delete the FR10 from Express and Connect then pair it again.
