Hello

I'm on a corporate network using Garmin Express 4.0.8 and am having difficulty getting my workouts uploaded to my Garmin account. When i am not on the corporate network there is no issue however when at work we have a problem

What happens is that Garmin Express finds my device (Garmin 920XT) and siplays the serial number but it then fails to connect to the server to complete the process. Clearly this is a firewall or port blocking issue therefore to allow me to get my corporate IT to allow me to fix this i'll need some advice. I never had this issue before with Ant Agent with my 310XT but since using the 920XT with Garmin Express I am limited to waiting until i get home to see my workouts.

Lastly, using my cell phone to upload the workout is a not a possibility as my office is in a deadzone.

What is probably happening is that the work environment you are connecting through might be going through some type of proxy server. Have you discussed this with your IT department? There's most likely some security issue blocking communication to the Garmin server. What you may want to do is ask your IT people if there's a specific proxy server that is being used. If there is Express has the option to allow use with this and the settings can be manually entered within Express.
Click on Tool/Settings icon looks like a cog wheel in the upper right. Under Proxy Settings click the option for "Manual". In this area you can add the information your IT department provides you. This of course is if you are going through a proxy.

If you have an aggressive firewall being used it may just need to have Garmin Express added to your allow or what can be called the white list.
