Stale data on Garmin Connect?

I did about 9000 steps yesterday before first sync for the day then found that I'd gotten to about 13,000 by evenning meal time. So I decided to go out and get my first ever 20000-step day.

Today when I synced, the 10000 steps from today showed up in Garmin Connect but it still seems to insist yesterday's figure is the 9000 one. This despite the fact I actually managed to get a smidgeon over 20000 last night.

Why is GC reflecting today's figures accurately but not the updated figures from yesterday?

I should mention that, if I walk a couple of hundred steps and sync again, it (Garmin Sync) says "updating 1 item" and Garmin Connect then reflects the change for today.

What it _doesn't_ do is ever seem to update yesterday's figures - that's staying around the 9000-mark.

So I'm not sure this _is_ a GConnect issue, the fact that GSync says there's only one update seems to indicate there's a problem earlier in the process.

Is there a way to convince the Vivofit to re-upload all the data it has?

I apologize for the troubles. The vivofit should have kept that data for two weeks before writing over it. Are you syncing through a smart phone, or have you tried syncing through a smart phone? There were some sync issues around the 8th or 9th but nothing reported yesterday. In addition to syncing via smart phone you might try deleting the device from Express and Connect then adding it back again. If you continue to have troubles I suggest you contact Garmin Product Support by phone.

Curt, unfortunately my smart is not quite as smart as it needs to be, it's an iPhone 4. I actually sync through Windows with the ANT device. Removed the device and re-added it, though I kept the same GConnect account since I didn't want to lose any data. No improvement. I've also contacted Garmin (in the past and with this problem) and the response has been wanting. Honestly, with all the problems I've had with Garmin's web stuff and their support, I think I'm just going to put my stuff manually into a spreadsheet each night, wait for the battery to die then buy myself a FitBit. If Garmin come back with a helpful response for this issue, I may change my mind but I'm not optimistic based on past experience.
