I cannot load a course into my new Edge 200. The device seems to operate fine and has logged an activity, but will not accept a course? Update seems to go well and reports that the device is up to date, but if i include a course I get the error message "There was an eror syncing with Garmin Connect" and the course remains in the cue. Is this typical of this device or is there a bug? Bummer because I was planning on a big ride today with brand new Garmin. Hopefully this will be an easy and rapid fix.
There have been a couple of Connect tickets created recently with regard to sending data from Connect to a device using Garmin Express, however none are referencing the Forerunner 310XT. I recommend calling our Product Support team so that we can gather additional information on this and see if we can duplicate it in house. Once the issue is duplicated consistently, the ticket can be created for resolution.
As for Classic Connect, it would only work with Garmin Communicator Plugin and ANT Agent, it was not designed to work with Garmin Express.
Guys on the phone suggested I master reset the unit. Did that, and courses are now loading. Appears something corrupt was lodged in the device at some point, which only messed up course loading, and not activity sync. So, that is a good suggestion for anyone having this kind of problem. A bit of a pain to have to set up all the custom screens again, but not the end of the world.
