Garmin Express 4.0.8.0 won't show advanced options for a reinstall device

I've got a desktop and laptop. I've updated my Garmin Device and installed the CNNANT2015.30 maps on my desktop.
Garmin Express 4.0.8.0 shows my device with the CNNANT2015.30 maps, but the laptop only has CNNANT2015.20installed.
The Reinstall does not show the installation option to install to Computer Only.
My other Garmin Device shows Install, and does show options to change to Computer Only, but does not allow me to change the location to either my D:\ or E:\ drive. (The small explore button next to the displayed p[ath that I cannot change does not call up Windows Explorer to allow me to change it. Possibly a Win8.1 issue?

Since this laptop is a netbook, I don't have the space on the C:\ SSD for the maps. I've got a large HD on D:\ and a large microSD on E:\.

I know I can resort to GarminMapInstaller, but thought you'd like to fix GE.

I have had the same problem
See the sticky at top of this forum list
GE v4.xxx does not currently give option to load maps on to a pc after having done it once
They are working on it
The fix is to use a GE version prior to v4 having uninstalled v4 first
This gives back the option to load to device, pc or both

Your other option is to create a cloned device. Also if you've downloaded maps to one PC you can use JaVaWas GMTK to transfer the maps from one PC to another, or indeed to move maps to another location on the same PC
