Cannot upload data from Garmin Forerunner 910XT to Garmin Express

Hi,

I cannot upload any data from my Garmin Forerunner 910XT to Garmin Express. I have tried reinstalling Garmin Express but it doesn't fix the problem.

Sometimes Garmin Express recognises my device and starts syncing, but then the connection seems to drop out (the Garmin's screen will be back in a normal standby mode rather than the "Transferring data" screen, but the Garmin Express screen still shows that it is syncing data although the progress bar does not move).

Other times, Garmin Express can't even detect my Garmin.

Please help!!!

Have you tried to Force Send the history from the Forerunner 910XT to Connect? The instructions to do so are in our FAQ How can I resend my history from my wireless watch to my computer?

If that doesn't work, see if the files have been saved to the computer. If the files have been saved to the computer, you can manually import them into Connect only you would navigate to the file location on the computer and not the device. These two FAQs will assist you with this:

Where do my activities go on the computer before they are uploaded to Garmin Connect?

How do I manually upload data from USB Mass Storage devices to Garmin Connect?

If the files fail to import, they may be corrupted. This posting on the Garmin Cycling/Edge 800 forum provides information on fixing a corrupt .fit file: How to Fix a Corrupt File.

The device may need to be master reset to clear off corrupted data.

Or you can contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.

I tried the Force Send and it does not work.

I also tried the manual method. Some of the files have been saved on the computer but the Forerunner 910XT isn't categorised as a USB mass storage (I refer you to your FAQs support.garmin.com/.../simpleCase.htm

Do you have a Product Support phone number for Australia?

I am sorry for the troubles. You can contact Garmin Support for your region through the "Support" link in the upper right corner of www.garmin.com. Instead of uninstalling Garmin Express have you tried removing the 910XT from Express and Connect then adding it back again? FAQ: How do I delete a fitness device from Garmin Express?

Again I am sorry for the troubles.

I have already tried removing the device, and I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Garmin Express.

You don't have Australia listed under your Support link.

Please advise what else I should do.
