Hi - I have just purchased Lifetime map update for my nuvi 1350 after it started showing a computer connected to sat nav mid way through journeys. Paid my 75 quid to find device cannot be detected. All software and garmin express now up to date - I have tried loads of different cables in case it is a loose connection or a bad earth- have a hell of a journey tomorrow and hope someone on here can help - I am properly not technical so if you can help please Keep It Simple x

That error could be due to a faulty connection at the satnav end, if so purchasing lifetime map updates isn't going to help. In the hope it's not that try the steps here https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId=%7B9b0aa260-3f4b-11e4-eaba-000000000000%7D

If you haven't yet activated it for that device you'll be okay. If you have call Garmin and explain to them. They are often helpful in these situations.
