Garmin Express 4.0 don't work

Don't know why previous thread is closed when GE 4 still don't work?

Today you can't install it, force close after you try to run it.
If you folow tutorial and fix from Microsoft page, GE still don't work, you can install it with no problem, but force close after start.

Download vehicle couple of second work and the you get server error.
No mather what language you set or on what Pc you install, GE don't work like previous version.

Instead you close thread or wrote some stupid tutorial how to force GE to work, developer must repair GE setup becouse 98% of people have problem with this 4.0.2.0 version.

Please, please change your developer team, becouse from start of GE tool they don't know how to make it work.
  • It's working fine on my PC, as did previous versions, maybe there is an issue with your PC? Have you tried it on a different PC?

    Do you have any figures to back up your claim that 98% are having problems?

    Yes, i try on different Pc and on all is the same problem, so all Pc have problem and GE is OK?

    I see that you have time to always say that GE work like he must so i think you have also time to find on google that almost all user that install v4 have problem.

    Well, I have not had any problems with any version of GE.

    BUT - I keep my PC in good working order by removing software that I do not use or that managed to get installed without my express permission. I use a tool called CCleaner to clean my PC and make sure the registry is in good working order.

    When I run GE, I make sure that all other running programs are minimized (although I would suggest for anyone having problems with GE that they close all other programs just to be safer) so that any pop-up messages from Garmin or GE are not hidden from me.

    I understand you are frustrated but venting does little to solve the underlying problems.

    I do the same. A PC that isn't looked after is like a car that isn't ever serviced, it won't work efficiently and maybe not even start at all :)

    OS on PC is Fresh installed i installed it today, so registry is not problem.

    How many time i must tell you over and over again that with PC is all OK and that GE is total rubbish?

    You tell that for all user is available to set where you like to install map and in thread that you provide link is writen that this function is missing.

    Every day you tell that problem is becouse PC and every day we see that is GE have problem.

    You write this wrong:

    Correct is this:

    A Garmin Express that isn't looked after is like a car that isn't ever serviced, it won't work efficiently and maybe not even start at all


    And this is what we have now with version 4.0 don't work efficiently and also sometime won't start at all, you must turn off/on Pc to work again.


    p.s.
    How much money you get from Garmin, becouse you always say that GE is perffect?

    @POPOTNIKPP, based on a fresh install, we will agree that your computer is not the problem.

    SUSSAMB asked you what language you are using and you have not responded. Did you check out https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?213218-New-Express-not-working-with-Swedish to see if that led to any insights?

    If you literally did an install of the OS, what Windows Version are you using? This would have required a new install of Express. I assume this went ok. What are the problems exactly? Does it run at all? Does it recognize the device?

    I try with this language and on all is the same problem: English, Croatian, German, Italy, Slovenian and Slovakian.
    First uninstall GE
    Run CC Cleaner
    Restart Pc
    Change system language
    Restart Pc
    Run CC Cleaner
    Install GE

    This procedure i do for all language that i try.
