Edge 510 - Not Enough Space For Update

I have an Edge 510 and was trying to do the update to 3.40.

I can't seem to get the update to occur because Garmin Express continues to say I don't have enough space even though I've been slowly deleting old items. Is there a way I can have this update happen?

The Edge 510 is a mass storage device so you can check to see how much free space it has.

1. Connect it to the PC
2. Open MyComputer / Computer window
3. Right click on the Garmin drive
4. Click Properties

This window will give you the Total Capacity and the Free Space. The firmware version 3.40 is 9MB in size so the Edge should have at least 9mb of free space. You can open the Garmin drive then the Garmin folder and delete the GUPDATE.GCD file if it exists to free up some space. If you have copied any personal files to the Edge delete them as well.

Try the update again after you have enough free space.
