Request for .system files for Garmin Nuvi 3140T City Navigator Europe NT

Hi All

My power cut out mid update of my Garmin. It seems that I have lost several necessary origional system files. I was not downloading a new map I was simply updating a very old one from 2011.

Can anyone send me the files?! I would really appreciate it.

I've got:
All of the yellow file icon files which I think are complete and:

fs_image.ver
gmaptz.img
GUPDATE.GCD
Locales.xml
prodkey.bin
prodkeyEU.bin
TrafficProvider.xml

I'm not entirely sure which ones I'm missing

Some of the files are specific to the Serial Number and Unit ID of your device and can't be sent by anyone. These files are updated each time a map is updated or re installed on the device. Other files that are missing can be replaced by running a firmware update or updates from Garmin Express. I recommend you install Garmin Express and check for updates for your device. If there are necessary files that need to be replaced Express will replace them for you. For the most part as long as the mapping or gmapprom.img and gmapbmap.img are still in your .system folder you should be fine. These files are your actual main map and your base map. Express will provide the option to re install maps but can only go so far back. Express should be able to replace just about anything else.

The City Navigator Europe NT mapping on your device, version 2011.20, is too old to be re-downloaded. The only way to reload mapping to this device would be by a map update which would need to be purchased. Unfortunately, the basemap is not replaceable and I do not see it in the list of files from your original post. The basemap is used when searching for addresses and cities so it can be a crucial file. Because of this, I recommend replacing the device.
