I have a Nuvi 760 with a nüMaps Lifetime Europe subscription. The most recent map I have installed is City Navigator Europe NT 2015.20 and I have received no new updates since Augut 2014 when I am expecting 4 updates a year.
My Zumo 550 is on the "old" list, so I have been keeping an eye on this thread in the hope of the Europe NT update being available soon, especially if it maps the new sections of the Spanish A7 motorway now opened.
But I note from other messages on this thread that there are issues with Garmin Express 4. Will it be necessary to update to v4 for the new Europe NT update and, if so, are there any known issues which might affect the Zumo 550?
CN EUROPEAN is due out next week. There's no need to update Express unless you wish to. I've checked the map update process using a cloned device and v4.0 works perfectly.
When I tried to install 4.0.x in an XP VM (which has 3.2.9 in it) I got a message that XP wasn't supported and a dialog with two buttons one of which was a download button for GarminMapUpdater.
I can't insert a jpg image (yes I have space--I made some). All I get is a red exclamation point with no explanation.
I wonder if that means that Garmin recommends using MapUpdater on XP machines rather than an older version of Express.
That'd be funny since Garmin, and CSR's that post here, don't like to admit to the existence of GarminMapUpdater. In fact they'll sometimes delete posts that contain a link to it.
