310XT - issue sending workouts from Connect to device

Every time I want to send a workout to my 310Xt, I must reset my device.
I'm using the last version of express.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

  • squonimo,

Are you having to master reset your watch every time you upload any new activities? What is the software version on the watch? Are you using the latest version of Garmin Express?

Most of these issues are resolved by making sure the watch is up to date and Express is on the latest version (3.2.29).

The device sw version is 4.50, and the garmin express version is 3.2.29.
If I want to send activities from device to Connect I have not problem. The problem happens only when I want to send workouts from Connect to Device; Express shows a pop up error about bad sync. The only solution is a device hard reset

    Thanks in advance

Is it all workouts that do this or a specific workout? Was the workout created by you on Garmin Connect or did you get it from another source? Have you tried creating a new test workout or creating this workout again from scratch? Are you sending it from workouts or from the calendar?

If you have tried recreating the workout from scratch, all workouts fail to download to the Forerunner 310XT, or you continue to experience issues with this, it would be best to contact Product Support by phone.

I tried to send one workout from calendar or from workout area and the result had been the same (sync error).
It isn't a specific workout, each workout I created gave me the same problem. I created workout from scratch, renamed, and other changes, but the result had been a fail!

Yesterday, after a hard reset made on Monday, I had been able to send a workout from Connect to Device.
I hope this can be the last time I've seen the problem.

    Cross fingers!

I'm having the exact same problem for the past month... although I have yet to try the hard reset (how do I do that?).

The device software version is 4.50, and the Garmin Express version is 3.2.29. I've tried it using Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer... no dice.
If I want to send activities from device to Connect it works fine. The problem happens only when I want to send workouts from Connect to Device; Garmin Express shows a pop up error saying "Unable to send course to device. Please try again later" or "Internal server error".

If you are able to send activities to Garmin Connect but can't send Workouts back, there is most likely some corruption on your device. You can try clearing any workouts that are already saved on the watch but if that doesn't work, a master reset will most likely solve the problem.

    Thank you, Jason

I've deleted all of the workouts saved on the watch and finally could send new routes to it!

    Try this first:

On garmin connect. Go to profile. Then select switch to classic. Then on upper right hand of he connect screen, an upload button appears. Click that and select your device. Choose upload manually.
