FR70 Device not compatible with Express

I recently purchased an FR70 W. I have the latest Garmin Express installed (3.2.29.0). When I try to add the device in Express I get the error "FR70 Serial Number: This device is not compatible with Express". The correct device type (FR70) is detected but the serial number is not displayed. I've tried this on 2 different PCs with the same results.

I've performed troubleshooting steps listed on this forum such as (1) the Master Reset on the device and (2) confirmed there is no data in the Garmin/Devices folder.

This issue can sometimes be caused by an issue with the program contacting our servers. Please look through the troubleshooting found in the article How do I correct the Unable to connect with Garmin Services error message in Garmin Express?

If you are still getting the error after following the troubleshooting available, I would suggest contacting our support line to troubleshoot the issue further.

I'm trying to connect an FR70 for the first time with Garmin Express and I am having a similar problem - Garmin Express says FR70 is not compatible and does not show the unit serial number.

I previously used Ant Agent and tried to reinstall to see if this worked. Ant Agent synced OK with the device but wopuld not transfer data to my Garmin Connect account. I deleted Ant Agent, following the FAQs, and reinstalled Garmin Express but I still can't get it to work.

I have connected my Edge 810 without issue. I'm using Windows 7 (64bit). I've also checked updates for Garmin Communicator and USB Plugin. Any further advice?
