I have a Nuvi 2595 with lifetime maps of Europe, how do I add other maps and delete some unused countrys?
I have deleted unused countrys before, but now cannot find how to do it.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks
  • Express is quite limited in what you can/cannot install. You may have used MapUpdater before which was far more flexible.

What maps are you wanting to add and what do you want to delete?

I want to delete some of the European maps that I don't need or use and buy USA maps for a upcoming trip.
  • Well you have two options. You can use the reinstall/change map option in Express ... but that often doesn't give you much control over exactly what you install, although you can 'trick' Express if you know what you're doing by filling your nuvi with other files so that Express thinks there's less space than there would be normally.

The easiest though would be to use Basecamp having installed the map to your PC and just sending the portions you need. Note Basecamp doesn't send things like the junction view file so you need to use Express to at least send part of the mapset to your nuvi.

However in your position I'd be tempted to leave 'as is' and install the US map onto a sd card, that would be even simpler than messing about with the maps on your GPS.
