Sync with Express to Connect ingores yesterdays data.

I use Forerunner 15 (2.40), Garmin Express 3.2.29.0 (recently updated), and Garmin Connect (Firefox) on Windows 7.

Since Saturday (Jan 31) when my Forerunner 15 updated its software via Express (maybe even Express was updated
at that time?), it does not report yesterdays results with sync to connect.
The info on Forerunner is still there though. Have not had this problem before.

To be clear: sync for the current day works but everything that happens after the last sync until midnight
is not transfered with Express to Connect. Quit clear when I look at sleep data (movements). It now
starts at 0:00 for the current day ...

Whats going on? Bug in the software? Some mistake in my setup somewhere? Any workarounds?

I am sorry that you are having trouble with your Forerunner 15. The first possibility that comes to mind is that your Forerunner 15 may be low on space so the previous day's steps are being removed to make room. You can try freeing up some space on the device by deleting old activities. There are instructions for deleting the files in this FAQ: How do I update my Forerunner 10/15 if there isn't enough memory?

Hi Jason, thanks for the reply. The Forerunner does have enough space and has all the information stored. So I am sure it is not storage on the device that is the problem.
But data, when syncing with connect, are always only transfered starting at midnight. Steps from the previous day are not updated to what is (still!) stored on the device.

    Hi Jason,

maybe you were right after all (see the other thread linked above). At least in part. There seems to be a limit (100?) for the number of FIT files in each of the directories (MONITOR and ACTIVITIES). If the number is reached no new fit files are created (instead of simply and automatically erasing old ones).

However I still do not get how the device can show the correct number of steps the previous day on its display? I mean this info is still there ...

Well, no, didn't really work ... for further reports (lots of them!) read

And yes: Garmin needs to fix this annoying problem!

Have you tried to manually upload the data to Garmin Connect? Here is our FAQ on how to do so:

How do I manually upload data from USB Mass Storage devices to Garmin Connect?

If the data still does not upload, it is possible that the information on the device is corrupted. If so, or if the problems persist, contact Product Support for further assistance.
