Garmin Express - It's time to take ownership of this bug, Garmin!

I have not been able to get Garmin Express to log in to Garmin Connect for some time now.
I am experiencing the same issue that many others have described on this forum where the software fails to log in to Garmin Connect. The software just hangs after typing in credentials. I know that it is able to hit the servers because entering in the wrong password immediately fails. The correct credentials, however, cause it to spin and spin forever.

I am running Windows 8.1 and the very latest version of Garmin Connect as of this writing, 3.2.29.0

I have read all the sticky posts and moderator responses about uninstalling, deleting devices, updating the software, disabling firewall, disabling VPN, checking proxy settings, setting time zone, etc.. None of these options are working.

The new Garmin Connect site is impressive and I am excited for some of the new features, but without a way to sync my device, its all useless, which in turn is making my Forerunner 305 completely useless. I am due for an upgrade and I will likely not be purchasing another Garmin device again.

What is most frustrating about this experience is the lack of quality support for this junk software. The moderator responses to the multiple threads describing this same issue are cut-and-paste, redundant and useless.

It's time to get the software engineers involved in fixing this!

This issue is not the same for all users. Generally the issue is a combination of variables which once identified can be corrected. If you continue to have troubles after trying the various solutions cut and pasted around the forums I suggest you contact Garmin Support by phone. A closer look at your system and device could probably resolve the problem in no time. Again, I am sorry for the troubles.
