This device is not compatible with Express

I have a new VIRB Elite action camera and connected it to my pc running the latest version of Garmin Express [3.2.28.0]
The camera is found and the serial number listed but the message says
"This device is not compatible with Express" and the only available action is to Ignore

My Garmin Edge 810 is still listed as is mu Nuvi 2517 sat nav

Any help appreciated!

    Same Problem

    ----I purchased two Garmin Elites and the first one synchronized fine with Garmin Express. The second one says "This device is not compatible with Express"

    Please call Garmin Product Support. They would need to take a closer look at the GarminDevice.xml files on both of those devices.

    Same error message, same version of Garmin Express.

    i fixed it by upgrading my Virb with the old Garmin WebUpdater. I'm now on the latest 3.90.

    I thought this might fix the Garmin Express problem but no, still says "This device is not compatible with Express"

    Garmin, your thoughts?
