Syncing challenges

Every since I purchased my Garmin Forerunner 310XT I have had major challenges syncing with garmin connect. I used to use a a 405CX and never had a problem with the Ant syncing.

I initially installed Garmin Express and could never get it to work, so I uninstalled it, reinstalled the ANT and it would work sometimes - I had to re-pair it every time and often times there was an error and I had to close and re-open the Ant Agent. For the last little while, I could not even get that to work. So this Sat I have spent over 3 hours loading garmin express, setting it up and trying to get it to sync, searching for help when it fails. It recognizes my watch, shows on the watch that it is "transferring data" but no matter what I do, it always ends with the error "Sorry, we couldn't sync your device. Please try again."

I have looked at all of the "ANT+Help" suggestions and I am doing everything correctly...

Any help you could offer would be much appreciated...
