Express - Uploaded/synched .FIT Files not available as local backup

Hi,

according to other posts / FAQ Express stores uploaded files in the following folder location:
C:\ProgramData\Garmin\GarminConnect\[Device]\Upload

This does not happen/work for my installation:

System: Win 7 - 64 Bit - Logged in with Admin rights
Garmin Express Version 3.2.28.0
Devices - Edge 500 / Edge 1000

I had recently re-installed whole Express - problem persists.

C:\ProgramData\Garmin does not contain \GarminConnect\... subfolders,
but only

\Core Update Service
\Events
\Express
\LegacyProxy
\Logs
\Passkeys

Sync with Garmin Connect is working without any problems.

Since Express does not offer any configuration on this directory, please advice.

The folder you are referring to will only store data for devices that have no access to their own files. This is meant for Ant+ devices. These devices can't just search their internal folder structure and locate files since there's no physical connection to the computer.

The devices you are referring to are mass storage mode devices. These devices the Edge 500 & Edge 1000 are mounted and show up as a drive letter on your computer. These devices can access the activities folder when ever the device is plugged into the computer. Mass storage mode devices don't have the files moved to a stored location on the computer because they are always stored on the unit and can be viewed at anytime the device is plugged in. If you need to manually upload an activity on one of these devices you can use the FAQ: How do I manually upload data from USB Mass Storage devices to Garmin Connect?
