Specific activity (swim) from last night won't download to Garmin express

I have a swim that i did last night sitting on my 910XT that i can't get garmin express to download. I created a new test activity (run) which it picked up straight away but it won't see the swim despite it sitting in the history of the device. It also doesn't appear in the C:\ProgramData\Garmin\GarminConnect\Forerunner 910XT-3845893435\Upload\FIT_TYPE_4 folder. There is one from the day before and the test one from tonight but nothing for the 5th.

Corrupt file? Any ideas? Can i drag it off manually somehow?

Does the Swim activity show in the Garmin Express window under Sync? If so, then the file is located in the following folder:

    C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Core Update Service\Sync\Unit ID of device\Upload\FIT_TYPE_4

If the swim activity file is present, try uploading it manually to Garmin Connect. The following FAQ provides instructions. In this case, you would browse to the file location on the computer and not the Garmin mass-storage device.

If the file does not exist or gives an error when importing, then it is corrupted. You can manually create an activity from the swim data on the Forerunner 910XT. The instructions to do so are found in this FAQ:

How do I create a manual activity in Garmin Connect?

Then delete the activity off the Forerunner 910XT from the History menu.
