cannot install garmin connect 3.2.26.0

I have now tried with internet Explorer, Firefox and Google chrome and none of those Works. I have just got Garmin Vivofit. I have win 7 64-bit. Just for 'fun' I also tried my other computer with win 8.1 and experienced the same problem. It asks me if I will 'try again?' all the time.

What can I do?

    I've been using Garmin Connect for a long, long, several years. A few days ago my device, a Forerunner 405, failed to sync my activities. A pop up requested that I reenter my account details to log in, but when I entered them it t0old me they were invalid. I tried running Garmin Express again but it failed. I logged into Connect site (using the same details rejected by the pop up!) and followed the link to the latest version of Garmin Express. I downloaded this, uninstalled the older version and tried to install the latest version 3.2.26 but like the original poster it fails and I get the 'try again' message repeatedly. I now can't sync my activities.

    I never had any problems with the old garmin connect site, but since the site was updated and sync was shifted to Garmin Express I've had problems. Now I can't even download the blessed software. Like I say. no problems before on this or any other computer on this or any other internet connection/wifi network so don't try telling me the problem is at my end. Really irritated by this, could anyone offer a solution? I don't want to spend endless hours messing around trying this or that or the other, this stuff should just work. I want a solution. not a "Have you tried..?" because this worked 100% of the time up until now and I have changed nothing but the GE software.

    I hope there will be a hotfix very soon, my device is almost useless without any software update. No time for example.

    I found a youtube video but that was no help and I've disabled by firewall but still no joy. Been trying to install express all day now and its getting really annoying. On two different laptops I just get this Failed message over and over again.

    Given express is needed to register my new sat nav to benefit from the time limited offer for 2 year subscription to traffic cameras service, do you know anything about the offer being extended during the affected period that it is down for? The offer apparently ends today. Garmin support is closed and I need a response as this offer persuaded me to take a garmin model over a tomtom which I will be swapping it for if I can no longer obtain this offer.
  • You can register without Express. Log into myGarmin (create an account if you haven't already) and select this link

    Don't select Automotive devices since it will ask for Express. Select Sports and Fitness then enter the serial number of your device. In any case assuming this is a Garmin offer you're talking about Garmin have a good reputation when it comes to issues like this, so by calling Garmin support when they open, and referring to the sticky on the forum and explaining the problem I'm sure it will be resolved. Hopefully though the trick I outlined will work for you.

    Thanks for that, it seems to have registered through that option. I don't see anywhere I redeem the offer however. Do you know what I might need to do?

    Edit: Seems to specifically state it needs to be registered through express. Hopefully they do the right thing by their customers and extend the offer by a day or two once the service is working again.
