Courses created from imported tracks do not sync to Fenix 2

The title says it all. I have tracks that were imported into Garmin Connect. I've created courses from them. They show up just fine on my courses tab. However, they refuse to download and install on a Fenix 2. They generate a sync error every time, without fail, until I remove them from the sync queue on the website.

Anyone know of a way around this? I like to create courses from some of my old tracks so when I'm on these trail races I can follow the track/course instead of having to navigate with a paper sheet again.

I was not able to reproduce this with a fenix2, Tactix, or D2 watch. Can you use the gear icon in the upper right corner of the Activity's detail page to Save it as Course to Export it as a .GPX file?

Is the Sync menu clear of all other items before you Send the course to device?
Are you Sending any data to the device from the Calendar menu?
Can you create a new Course and send it to the fenix2?

Make sure your web browser and Garmin Express are both up to date.
Make sure the fenix2 is connected to a USB port on the back or side of the computer. It will show up in Windows Explorer as a drive, i.e. Garmin F:\
