910XT will not be found

All,

Received a 910XT for Christmas and tried following instructions. Loaded Garmin Express software, no luck. Combinations thus far have been GE software alone twice, ANT+ software only twice, and a combination of both. It seems to lie in the "Pairing" piece of this. I have had a 610 for a while and used the old Garmin upload a few years ago with no issues. I apologize in advance if this has been asked before, I just can not find it searching archives. Thanks in advance, but already spent 3 hours today trying to get this right.

Thanks but this is not the issue I am having. As I indicated above this is brand new out of the box. GE had never been installed before, nor ANT+ agent on this computer. Thanks

As a follow up tried to install on my wife's computer, same issue as before as Garmin Express will not find the brand new, out of the box, 910XT. Again ensured that the 910XT had pairing enabled and turned on, still no different result. This is very frustrating but curious as to how/why no one else has seen this. Is it possible/probable that the ANT +stick has issues? Giving it another day or so before I take it back to REI.

Took back to REI today, interesting enough the assoicate at REI informed me that they had 4 returned over the last week for reportedly the same issue. Hopefully Garmin will resolve this issue soon.

Don't worry you're not alone. I found lots and lots of complaints on the GE software. Mine has never worked. Since I can't return my Forerunner 310XT, I will have to find another brand that works better.

Apparently from what I read GE is a shoddy piece of software.
