Hi, I have a Garmin Nuvi 1490T.
I haven't updated the maps for over a year (was such a headache to do last time and I lost all of my favourites) however I have decided to take the plunge and try to update
I understand I needed to install Garmin Express, which I have done, I have plugged my unit into the pc via usb cable - and the display has a little sign on it showing a pc - my pc is recognising the device as a drive because it is asking if I want to import pictures. However Garmin Express is continually telling me no device found and the only option I have is to try again. Have tried various times using different USB cables and different USB ports on the laptop but unfortunately to no avail.
Any ideas?
And please go gently with me - I am not the most pc literate!!!
