Nuvi 2599LMT-D - some unboxing queries

Hi! Totally new to Garmin, just got a Nuvi 2599LMT-D and having a few "huh?" moments setting it up up. Its a gift for my mum for xmas. Any advice greatly appreciated! And apologies in advance if I've missed something glaringly obvious.

This Nuvi 2599LMT-D is toted as having "lifetime digital traffic". However, when I tried to use the device a popup appeared saying I was missing a subscription for traffic. I think that has gone away since I registered. But now it says I need to plug in a special cable.. hopefully thats the one it came with, and not the £100 digital traffic cable I see Garmin sell separately??
The Android app has a premium subscription available to buy called "3D Live Traffic" .. is that better/worse/same as "Digital Traffic"? I thought Digital Traffic was the best, being updated "every 30 seconds" (according to an infomercial lol), yet the "3D Live Traffic" says it updates every "two minutes".
How do I enable/subscribe to enable "PhotoReal junction view"? I can't see it mentioned anywhere in the Android app.
I'm guessing that my free "2 year safety camera" subscription is enabled, as I did notice a safety camera alert when using the device. How to confirm this, and do I start getting billed after 2 years, or notified how to renew, or what?
The bluetooth link.. trying to figure out if its worth bothering.. if its just weather/calls then I'm not interested. Or is it used for any of the traffic or safety camera info, or any other important updates?
