No thanks. I never allow any software to "update itself automatically".

But I'd missed that 3.2.25 was out--probably since that's done by editing an existing post (it doesn't show up as new).

I know you don't ... but some might appreciate it, at least whether you check the box now or not it does what it should do, either way :)

Well I hope you keep installer(s) for previous version(s) in case that automatic update breaks something and you want to go back :p

FYI 3.2.25 automatically installed in my VM's that had 3.2.22 even though automatic updates were/are disabled.

I assume "Garmin knows best".

So the check box is still being ignored then ... just that it now updates whether you want to or not ... that's not good.

Well you can't disable "check for updates" in BaseCamp (but you can block internet access to it --what I do) and Garmin Express updates whether you want it to or not.

I'm seeing a pattern here (Garmin knows better than you the stupid user).

Fortunately I have the knowledge to defeat Garmin's attempts. Most don't.

I suspect it may be a question in some minds of being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Garmin update their software to resolve issues then get stick from folks as something isn't working, when in many cases it would if folks bothered to update their software. At least you and I know enough to make informed choices .... many don't.

Whatever the reason IMO there are people at Garmin that need some "attitude adjustment" if you catch my drift :cool:
