device switches to express when plugged into vehicle power

I installed express and updated my maps. Now every time I plug the device into vehicle power, it goes to express mode.

I tried connecting the device to express and changed the option to start express whenever the device is connected, hoping that it would update the device. No change.

When express was running I was not sure how o correctly exit the application.

HELP. I really need to use the garmin for a grip to Flordia in two days.

This isn't an Express issue but is normally caused by a faulty power cable, or by using the USB cable rather than the supplied vehicle power cable. Please contact Product Support for further help.
