Problems updating my nuMap Lifetime Maps for Europe

Hello
I own 2 Garmin devices:
• nüvi® 1300 – 224941918
• nüvi® 300 – 16478485
I bought various maps for them including the nüMaps LifetimeTm North America & Europe - EUNT Maps so I can always have my maps updated.
I wanted today to update my nüvi® 1300 device with the latest European Maps, but Garmin Express only shows me that I have a Full Coverage for North America map.
When I tried to update the maps, Garmin Express deleted the European map from my device and installed instead the North American map.
I can’t find any way of re-installing my European map in my device and I need it urgently for Sunday, November 9th, since I am flying to Europe.
Can you please assist me with this urgent matter

Thanks
  • Neither of those devices came pre-loaded with both maps as far as I know. The update you quote is, I believe, for a device originally loaded with both maps.

Before I go any further, as I might have misunderstood you, could you explain:

What maps were originally loaded to your devices.

What additional maps you've bought and in what format (download, sd card or DVD)
  • Hi
The nüvi® 300 came preloaded with all European maps. The 1300 with Israel maps.
Nevertheless, when I bought other maps I loaded them into both devices by changing the SD cards (I requested the proper authorization from Garmin)
When I bought the nüMaps Lifetime™ North America & Europe - EUNT Maps back in 2012, I was able to update the European maps on the nüvi® 1300.
Today, I wanted to update the unit again (haven't use it much since we all have smartphones with Waze, don't we?) and this case happened: onlye the North American maps appear in Garmin Express and the European maps have been deleted.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
  • What 'other maps'? You say you 'changed SD cards', what does this have to do with it? It's difficult to help unless you explain in detail what maps have been added/installed and how.

Remember we can't see you devices so we need detail. Start from the fact that you have a 300 with the EU map and the 1300 with Israel maps. What happened map wise between then and now?

(BTW I have a smartphone but wouldn't use it for navigation, my GPS is far better suited to my needs :))
  • OK SUSSAMB
This is the detailed story (short version :) )
I bought a nüvi 300 with all European maps pre-loaded into it.
After some time, I bought the City Navigator North America NT v8 - All Regions - and loaded the maps into an SD Card.
Then I bought a nüvi 1300 with no maps pre-loaded into it. It came with a micro-SD card with the maps of Israel in it.
I asked Garmin to un-lock all my maps again so I can use them on the nüvi 1300. That went well.
So I can always change the SD card of the nüvi 1300 and have the maps of Europe, NA and Israel (not all at the same time since I replace the cards).
In 2012 I bought the nüMaps Lifetime™ North America & Europe so I can always update bot the NA and Europe Maps. I did update them in 2012 with no problems.
Today, I wanted to update the maps again to the latest version, this time using Garmin Express.
Garmin Express recognizes my nüvi 1300 and also offered me to update to the newest maps, but only the North American maps, no European version.
During the update, Garmin Express deleted from my sd-card the Europe maps and installed the NA map.

    What I need is:
    1. To have access to the latest version of the nüMaps Lifetime™ North America & Europe and download it
    2. To install the European maps in my nüvi 1300

    Does it make sense?

    Thanks a lot

I'd give GarminMapUpdater a try instead of Garmin Express.
  • That's quite a story, and one that Express may struggle with :)

I'd do as Stuart says ... try MapUpdater. Whether you'll have enough space for both maps I don't know, you may need to take the option to download both maps to your PC and use Basecamp/MapInstall to swap/load maps as appropriate.

Please delete your Nuvi from Garmin Express then add it back again. You will then have the option to install the Europe 2015.20 maps.
