Cannot connect to Garmin Servers

Hi, I'm trying to sync my Garmin device with Garmin Express and consistently get unable to connect errors. Have looked at a couple of threads with respect to the update service and that has not resolved the problem. Have uninstalled all Garmin software rebooted and installed Garmin Express only followed by update service change. Is there anything else that I can do to resolve the problem?
  • Same here. Even after reinstall, pair etc. at least it's not only me
  • Perfect day for Garmin to have their servers down. When 50,000 people are running the NYC Marathon!
Maybe 50,000 people were using Live Connect and brought the system to it's knees? I hope not, that would suck for all those runners.
  • Ah yes, ny marathon, overload on garmin servers.

yep, same here. trying to "re-pair" my vivofit with my iPhone and i get the ubiquitous "pairing failed. unable to pair your device. server error.". so sick of this crap from garmin. i only wish there other solutions with product offering as robust and i'd bail on this company in a heartbeat.

Same here. I miss the feature to loacally download the fit-File to use it with Sporttracks.
Ant+ Agent was ahead at this point.
  • "Happy" to see that this is a general problem. .fit file won't even upload manually on garmin connect.

actually Im quite pleased because this has prompted me to look at sporttracks, I had an account but not used it until today, I've imported all my data from my garmin account and so far it seems pretty good;)

I think the service must be unavailable. Hopefully Garmin will update us as to what is happening soon
  • Me, too.

None of the other (non-Garmin) GPS sites are having issues. Yet another example of Garmin having great hardware and horrible software. I've been using Garmin for over a decade and will gladly jump ship to the first company that can get the entire package (hardware and software) correct. Maybe I need to stop spending all of my running technology money with Garmin...

Server problems happen, but it would be polite of Garmin to let us know they're working on it (if they are).
